January 2012 Newsletter

BLUEPRINTS
IMITATION OF LIFE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY NEWSLETTER
January 2012
Next Meeting: Tuesday, January 24th

It was a wonderful Christmas/Holiday party at Barbara Chapman’s house
in December.  Good attendance, Good company, Good eats,
Good gift exchange.  Almost everyone brought a pin doll to
exchange.  Thank you, Barbara, again for hosting.
Carrie Nisil and Cheryl Ripley are doing the January program
on January 24th, at 6:30 p.m.  Carrie writes, “Our program this month
will be doll pins with fimo heads, cloth bodies and wired and beaded
arms and legs. Cheryl and I have pre-made some bodies for anyone
to use. Everyone should be able to leave with a finished pin. However,
if you have some favorite scraps and pieces of batting that you prefer,
please bring it and make your own. The bodies can be sewn very quickly.
The club is providing 1 head per member. If you want more they can be
purchased for $2.00 each. There are red heads, blonds and black.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
Carrie and Cheryl

The meeting will be at my house.
Carrie Nisil

Babs sent this to everyone earlier, but here it is again.
This from Patti Culea:  Not sure many know that Bits & Pieces Quilt Shop
in Escondido was affected by a fire in the taco shop next door. The owners
have decided to close the store. They've had 5 floods, also from the taco
shop, and now the fire. Enough is enough. Suzanne called today to let
me know she's selling everything in the store. Fabric, threads, notions,
machines, etc., will be 50% off. Except the Bernina machines. They carry
Janome as well as Bernina's. The sale starts Wednesday, Jan. 4.
The address is 426 B W. 2nd Ave., Escondido 92025
I'm not sure the phone works, but it was 760-745-5878

Note from the blogger: I am re-posting part of the newsletter from the doll
group as a courtesy to anyone who might be interested in joining the group
but wanted to know more. The regular newsletter comes earlier and has
more information. To be added to the email list please contact
me, Stephanie Meyer, (rufferta@cox.net) and I will forward your request
to the people who put together the newsletter. Thanks!
