We will be working on 'pancake dolls' or 'flat dolls' - the first in a series of 'hands-on' meetings that we will be having this year. We will also be talking about what should be in your doll making toolbox, as well as fabric choices for dolls. If you come, bring a flat doll pattern you would like to use, there will be some free patterns available; also bring your fabric and any flat dolls you've already made to share during 'show & tell'. Rosemary, from Sew-Pro's has informed us that we will be able to have use of the sewing machines (thank you Sew Pro's) but we MUST BRING OUR OWN THREAD!
Finally, if you are coming and you own a copy of 'Anatomy of a Doll' by Susanna Oroyan, bring it with you as we have decided to use it as a 'textbook' of sorts this year to explore the wide world of doll construction. If you don't own one, it's ok, many of us do and are willing to share during class.
